Foxyco is the newest restaurant to hit DFW’s ultra-trendy Design District. Emanating a 1950’s retro vibe to polarize it’s incredibly modern menu, Foxyco offers a very exclusive atmosphere with amazing dishes that will tingle your tastebuds.

I ordered the Squid-Ink Spaghetti, which was accompanied by fresh jumbo lump crab, guanciale, lemon zest, and egg yolk. For my drink, I decided to try one of Foxyco’s signature cocktails — the Angelic. The cocktail consisted of ombra mezcal, orgeat, lime, egg white, and pepper, which to be honest made for a very interesting after-taste. The pepper definitely lingered for a bit while the egg white created a foamy sea that washed over my tongue. While I applauded myself for trying such an interesting concoction, I may go for the “Foxy” next time, a cocktail made of aviation gin, fresno red marmalade, ginger and lemon.

The squid-ink spaghetti definitely compensated for my intriguing cocktail. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the squid-ink made it rich and creamy, but just the right amount to where you could finish the whole dish and not feel like you overindulged. Our table also ordered shareable sides of honey-sriracha Brussel sprouts and roasted potatoes—both of which were to die for!

Whether you’re a Dallas native or in the Big D for one night, Foxyco should definitely be on your to-eat list!
